Habitat for Humanity

One of my core beliefs is that volunteering gives purpose, strength, and of course a helping hand to those in need.

My volunteer organization of choice is Habitat for Humanity. Their vision and mission is to create a world where everyone has a decent place to live through bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope.

My journey with Habitat began my sophomore year of college, and through the years I volunteered with several affiliates locally in Wisconsin and abroad in Florida, Louisiana, & New Mexico. During my college years I served on my campus chapter's Executive Board as the Publicity Chair and worked to create a social media presence, designed promotional and marketing material, and built homes any chance I could. This work has been the most fulfilling and purpose driven work I’ve done, and has resulted in 5 different awards.
